• Transport team – We regularly need transport for our bunnies! We mostly need transport for incoming bunnies up to 4 hours away and between all locations. We can also use some help with vet appointments as needed or pick up/drop off from spay/neuter appointments! This may also include transport for supply donations or transfers, pick ups from several fosters to bring bunnies to events, or picking up dirty cages/carriers to drop off for cleaning.
• Adoption Event Coordinators – We love to host adoption events, but it can be hard to plan with everything else we are working on! Any volunteer may call and inquire about a location for adoption events, but only approved adopters may coordinate the details. We need help with securing locations and transport to our monthly adoption events!
• Cleaning Crew – Some of our fosters live in apartments and do not have access to hoses or other convenient cleaning hacks! Once a month, we like to help our fosters by taking in any supplies that may need a deep cleaning! This can include a full wipe down and scrubbing of crate mats, pen bars, large litter pans, carrier scrubs and more. This job can be tedious but is much appreciated!
• Social Media Organizer – We get dozens of messages each day on our Facebook, Instagram, and other platforms. Seasoned volunteers have the opportunity to be added as an admin to these accounts and help us answer questions and direct them to the appropriate resources when necessary. We require that these volunteers are experienced and well versed in our policies and procedures in order to help everyone with consistency, relevance, and professionalism.
• Fundraising Opportunities – We are always looking for more ways to raise funds for the bunnies! We are open to any and all recommendations, but we need people to help us find them! These volunteers will search for fun ways to raise money that involve the bunnies and are cheap and easy to plan!
• Bunny Rescue Team – The Bunny Rescue Team is our team of volunteers that are responsible for helping catch dumped/stray bunnies! We need volunteers in all areas of Knoxville as well as surrounding counties. We have a revolving list of bunnies that need to be caught and brought to rescue, particularly in the spring/summer months. Tasks include surveying areas on our list and notifying the team when a bunny is spotted, as well as bringing supplies and catching the bunnies once seen! Team members will also need to gain permission from the neighborhood and private property owners to allow us on the premises when necessary.
